Received three presentations on safety and security throughout the Metro Transit system, Network Now (current status of the Metro Transit system and efforts to improve frequency and ridership coming out of the pandemic), and 2024 milestones expected for the Blue Line Extension project.

• For the year 2023, Metro Transit reports a 23% decrease in calls reporting crime, and a 44% decrease in customer complaints. Officer-initiated calls increased by 24%.
• The municipal consent process, in which cities and counties will approve the final Blue Line route and design, is planned for August through October.
