The first item of unfinished business was the revision of the communications budget. The spending on communications and education will have be scaled way back. All commissioners expressed disappointment. Their next steps are to review the budget, and amend the original budget.

Commissioner Nicole Small says that the charter has been open and engaged with the community like no other entity in the area. She said a vote against this charter is a vote against Detroit. https://t.co/4jfCH2ODRY
The next item of business is the committee's presentation to the COTW at the 4/13/2021 meeting. The committee wants to have information about mailers, cost of media advertising and revisions to the commission website.

The committee is discussing hiring a "media manager" on a contractural basis to spearhead the campaign during the education phase. They decide to table this and possibly find a volunteer to do this.
The first commenter asks about distribution of the completed charter. The Commission Chair Karissa Holmes says that the goal is to have a copy of the charter in every Detroiter's hand.
