This meeting was never officially called to order as a majority of the board failed to appear. Only Commissioners Burton, Dewaelsche, Herndandez, Moore and Smith were present. After brief public comments, the meeting was adjourned 24 minutes after it began.

No agenda has been made publicly available for this meeting. So we're going in blind!
I wonder if this will come up: It's state police, but it's relevant. metrotimes.com/news/police-tr…

The meeting was called to order at 3pm and started with the invocation. The room looks kind of empty from here.
The roll was taken and Smith, Woods and Dewaelsche were the only ones present. Since they don't have a quorum they're going to start with public comment.
First public commenter would like the handicap parking in front of the building cleaned up and weeded. They also suggested that cops should be carrying bulletproof shields.

The next commenter lamented the state of parenting in the city, saying city children are being neglected.
The next commenter voiced disapproval of suburban police officers, and the relative lack of city resident officers.
Minister Eric Blount of Sacred Heart Catholic Church asked for a moment of silence in memory of Marcellus Williams, and urged the board to be sharper in questioning police officials, especially the chief. usatoday.com/story/news/nat…

The next caller is mad at the board for not showing up to meetings. The meeting is the same time every Thursday, she says, and it's absurd that citizens make time for the meetings that commissioners themselves neglect.
She also demanded the release of the body cam video of the Sherman Butler killing. DPD still hasn't released it.
The next commenter also took issue with the poor handicapped accommodations by the building.
The other board members didn't show up, so the meeting was adjourned at 3:24pm.
