This meeting was largely inaccessible and hard to follow due to numerous Zoom and audio problems, and the incorrect agenda being posted. Commissioners approved the purchase of mattresses for the new Juvenile Detention Facility.

Some technical difficulties on the part of the meeting host (I believe?) is making the start time of the commission delayed. More updates to come…
Ok meeting has begun. When exactly it was called to order unfortunately I do not know. Here is the Commission's website that has the agenda listed:
waynecounty.com/elected/commis…
Commenter alerts the Commission to a Juneteenth celebration at the the historic site of Fort Ward in Detroit:
eventbrite.com/e/juneteenth-t…
Due to more technical challenges, the public comments portion of the commission seems to be cut short (commenters had to type their answers as they could not be heard)
Multiple commenters speaking to expanding the bus system in Detroit, and Smart Bus transit system for the disabilities community. One commenter reminds the Commission 'the best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago, the second best time is now' (I like that)
So just to add on saying that, while the audio is very challenging and the agenda was NOT properly given prior to the meeting, the recording of the WCC meeting can be found here:
Briefly some distillations from what was audible: an agreement between Wayne County and SEMCA (South East Michigan Community Alliance) was amended to decrease funding while also employ more subcontractors to diversity the workforce development (per the wording of the commission)
…that Dr. Brianna Osorio appointed to the position of Director of the Public Health Division…
…and that Hubert Massey, Bettye Misuraca, and Barbara Rogalle Miller reappointed to the Wayne County Art Institute Authority Board of Directors.
Beyond that, what with the technical difficulties, I was not able to glean much more from today's "public meeting"
